A Trend We Saw Coming
eMarketer recently published it’s Five Digital Video Platforms That Could Change the Playing Field. It’s a trend we have seen coming and one that will serve our users well…and this is why we love Zoom!
Gartner labels Zoom a Leader in its Magic Quadrant for Web Conferencing. And it just keeps getting better…
Now you can use Facebook Live and YouTube Live to broadcast your webinars to an unlimited number of attendees. This is just the beginning of the new features added in the Zoom webinar and meeting platform. Check out the ones we think will be important to our exhibitors and their event attendees –
New and Enhanced Features in Zoom 4.0
-
Meeting Feature
Multiple participants can now share their screen simultaneously
As a Host you can now choose to have multiple participants share their screens at the same time. To control this feature click the arrow next to the Share Screen button during a meeting. Participants on the desktop application will see all the shared screens simultaneously while those on mobile devices only see the most recently shared screen.Cloud recordings include Gallery View
Meetings that are recorded to our cloud account now include an additional recording file that shows the Gallery view. It’s nice to see who you’re talking to, especially when you’re watching the replay. I personally would also like to see the polls in the recording. I’ve mentioned it to the Zoom support and development teams…hopefully it gets in a feature set real soon.Attendee Waiting Room
This feature is great if you have scheduled back-to-back meetings. With the waiting room enabled, you can prevent an attendee from joining a meeting too early or interrupting a meeting that may be running late. Hosts can enable the waiting room that lets them control when a participant joins the meeting. The host sees the list of participants in the waiting room, and then selectively allows them to join the meeting. If this option is enabled, the option to allow attendees to join the meeting before the host arrives is automatically disabled. -
Webinar Feature
Facebook Live and YouTube Live integration
Live stream Zoom Video Webinars on Facebook and YouTube. This give our exhibitors exposure to a much greater audience, with no added cost.

Meeting/Webinar Feature
- Attendee attention indicator
Hosts can now see how attentive someone is by viewing the attendee list in either the desktop or mobile client. Here you will see an indicator that will tell you whether someone in your audience has the event in focus, while someone else is sharing a screen. With this feature you’ll be able to instantly see the effectiveness of you presentations. If an attendee is off checking their email or surfing the web you’ll be able to get them back on track for example, by asking for feedback in the chat window or by presenting a polling question. At the very least, this will be a helpful tool in analyzing your effectiveness. Then you can make any changes you need to for your next event.
If you have any questions about these or any of the features in the tools we offer, please do not hesitate to contact us.
